| COMPLETED TESTAMENT WORDS AND TRUE PARENTS |
 |
| Man resembles God’s mind and we are the objects
for the completion of God’s ideal of creation and
God’s True Love. True Parents are God’s body, and
God’s image, the incarnation of God’s church and
God’s Son and Daughter. True Parents accomplish
the 3 blessings and the ideal of mankind, which
is the four great realms of heart. Therefore, the
ideal of True Parents is the cornerstone of the
Heaven and Earth family. Through the Completed Testament
words (Completion stage truth, the final truth)
we are studying the incarnation of the ideal value
of True Parent’s life. Through study and research
we can understand the dimension of the real nature
of True Parent’s and this can make it possible to
relate to True Parents. Therefore, we want to develop
and elevate this existing Christian Theology (Christology),
Holy Trinity. Through Completed Testament words,
first, we can understand the creation of the original
ideal of True Parents. A second goal of this course
is to research True Parent’s value in life in order
to make it possible for us to understand, and incarnate
True Parent’s Heart and inherit their lifestyle.

|
 |
| COMPLETED TESTMENT AND CIG |
 |
| Today, we are living in the time after the coming
of heaven, when centering on the ideal of a true
love world, God’s situation is that He wants to
proclaim the name of and arrive at CIG. “CIG” means
God’s homeland (Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in
Heaven) and the ideal, which throughout history,
all mankind, the Messiah, saints, sages and prophets
and all creation have been longing for. That kind
of world is the most valuable and highest level
of existence world that all things and the universe
have always wanted to achieve and enjoy. The focus
of the Old Testament and New Testament has been
on the time to go and welcome the time of God’s
Kingdom and nation, the kingdom of peace, and the
era after the coming of heaven. We will also be
looking into the understandings of how other religions
and theologies see the goal of the ideal world.
Finally, we will be studying and researching God’s
Completed Testament words (the final, providential
ones), the goal of the New Testament and (Chun Il
Guk), God’s nation and Heaven. |
|
 |
 |
| In this course, students will examine the meaning
of "true family values." Sociological, historical,
philosophical, theological, and ethical viewpoints
will be considered. After examining the providential
process of True Parents’ establishment of a true
family, the meaning of the concept of "values" will
be clarified as a foundation for understanding methodically
how a God-centered "family" can become the core
of a true culture and civilization. |
|
 |
 |
| This is a course which I taught at UTS. It would
be for continuing students, primarily for international
students. Students unable to study Korean resources
need to be aware of the basic details about True
Father’s life course: providential background of
True Parents, True Father’s birth and childhood,
call, preparation for mission, holy education, holy
marriage, and ministry, both in Korea and throughout
the world. The course covers basic events, persons,
significance and meaning of holidays, ceremonies,
and proclamations, and puts True Father’s life in
a providential context. |

 |
| NARRATIVE THEOLOGICAL STUDY OF TRUE PARENTS |
 |
| By listening carefully to student’s research presentations,
we will be able to connect with and be deeply moved
by True Parent’s practical ethical viewpoint as
it comes to us through narrative discourse. First
we will consider the background and theoretical
contents of the practical ethical model of narrative
theological discourse. Next, each student will select
a presentation discussion assignment which they
will prepare from among the many deeply moving anecdotes
of True Parents in their Providential activities
and present it to the class. Narrative theology
is an original educational system course. It will
be applied to the wisdom of narrative practical
ethics, homiletics, history, religious education,
and the psychology of spiritual healing, etc. |
|
 |
| TRUE PARENT’S LIFE ETHICS |
 |
| In this course, we will study True Parent’s speeches
and thought with regard to the daily life ethics
of Blessed families in the age of Cheon Il Guk.
We will undertake an in depth study of them from
a viewpoint of a leader/teacher and partly in comparison
with other religious ethics. Students will select
and research True Parent’s speeches and thought
on an ethical issue that students want to focus
on. Some of the ethical issues are a daily life
ethic of young men and women, a daily life ethic
with regard to having a dominion over all things,
a daily life ethic of the Blessed couples, a daily
life ethic of the Blessed parents. Students are
encouraged to include the research from a historical
and cross-cultural perspective. This course regards
Dae Mo Nim’s speeches, which explain True Parents’
Thought on the daily life ethic very well, as part
of research materials in this course. |

| UNIFICATION SPIRITUALITY THEOLOGICAL STUDY
|
 |
Unification spirituality study is a systematic
theological approach to studying Unification spirituality.
Our method of studying it will be to focus on Unification
spirituality doctrine as the basis for our understanding
of the Unification viewpoint regarding the nature
of spirituality, unification spirituality theology
and love.
Priority will be given to the existing Unification
systematic theological system and comparing it to
Unification spirituality theology in order to understand
it. That will be our research method for studying
Unification spirituality theology. A framework for
studying Unification spirituality theology comes
from man’s character, from understanding the place
of God in Unification spirituality, centering on
True Parents as a consistent goal of the system
which then creates the basis for our understanding
of it. The doctrinal basis providing the data for
the study will be Unification spirituality theology
inasmuch as it leads man to fulfill his 3 purposes.

 |
| UNIFICATION SPIRITUALITY EDUCATIONAL DISCOURSE
RESEARCH |
 |
Spirituality from True Parent’s centering on God,
is advancing and building the ideal world of Goodness
by creating a basis for their attitude towards life.
Also Unification spirituality is headed towards
building a culture of cooperation through centering
on the True Love of God. Each and every religion
has different world views so that they can be able
to confront different understandings and Unification
spirituality follows the world view that Unification
spiritually from True Parents is championing while
they are in the spirit world and earthly world that
are combining into one Cosmos. Not only a theoretical
understanding of spirituality, but tangible practice
and transmitting it make possible experiences of
life and all that accompanies it. However we need
an overall general theoretical understanding of
Unification spirituality along with practical experience
of it.
In order to understand Unification spirituality
clearly, it is necessary to study how man can resemble
and inherit that nature. If in the past, living
a spiritual life meant just practicing daily spiritual
exercises. But today we have to formulate a theory
of Unification spirituality that more clearly demonstrates
practical application and a culture of daily “life
practice” of spirituality that can be shared among
Unification members. That is what Unification spirituality
means. |
|
 |
| THE METHODOLOGY OF UNIFICATION SPIRITUALITY
FOR LIVING LIFE |
 |
In this course we are going to be seeking to define
what living Unification spirituality means in order
to differentiate lifestyles and provide a thought
system that can lead to carrying it out. As for
formulating a theory and practicing it, we need
to organize a methodological system to approach
and conceptually organize spirituality as it applies
to practical living and in terms of what has been
the traditional practice of faith in God up until
this point in history.
First, Unification spirituality living will be examined
centering on the methodology of the law of giving
and receiving action in order to understand the
nature of living unification spirituality generally,
in order to broaden our understanding and outlook
regarding the character of Unification spirituality
by understanding the world view of the Unification
Church. Continuing with simple religions ceremonies
is not what is being called for. The core and most
strategic point from True Parents is their living
example and emphasis on the importance of keeping
a unchanging attitude towards our spiritual activities.
To escape from difficult situations, God endowed
us with a special ability to pursue religious activities.
The purpose of engaging in spiritual activities
is to increase the probability of influencing our
mind towards a certain standard. Since our attitude
in carrying out spiritual activities is to realize
the heavenly ideal, this class will examine a concrete
methodology for how to carry out those activities.
Rather than making it our priority to formulate
a theory using some special methodology, we will
look at it by focusing on True Parents own spiritual
activities, and by learning from the contents of
the lives of DMN and HJN in their efforts to serve
by promoting spirituality. |

| INTRODUCTION TO CHURCH MANAGEMENT |
 |
| First, in this course, we will learn the features
and functions for managing and administrating in
religions organizations as well as in nonprofit
organizations which are different for managing for
profit organizations. In particular, we will study
management change systems that can be applied to
the Unification Church, focusing on promoting development.
In addition, we will discuss what alternatives we
can present for the main issues which have not been
resolved in business administration, using Unification
Management as a new approach based on the words
and Principles of True Parents. |
|
 |
| COURSE IN UNIFICATION LEADERSHIP |
 |
Studying Unification Leadership is one of the
basic subjects and major topics in church management.
Using True Parents words, it involves the study
of leadership behavior as show practically through
the lives of True Parents and True Children and
the correct viewpoint of a leader. In addition,
the purpose of this course is to describe criteria
to show outstanding leadership behavior of pastors
in doing their work for Unification Church.
Looking at True Parents behavior from the viewpoint
of leadership behavior, we can find a new direction
for the academic study of leadership which seems
currently lost. We will discuss correct leadership
behavior for leaders in society and organizations.
In addition, we will look at what kind of leadership
ability is needed to be a pastor in Unification
church and develop criteria to evaluate and examine
our leaders, and the kind of education they need
to be more effective. |
|
 |
| LEADERSHIP AND MOTIVATION |
 |
The ultimate goal of this course is for the students
to deepen their understanding on individual competence,
groups, and organizations and the 4 types of direction
that develop competence of required leadership based
on True Parent’s leadership perception that appears
in their words. The aim of True Parent’s view of
leaders (True Parent’s leadership perspective) is
to understand True Parent’s view on leaders and
leadership behaviors. In order to reach this end,
we will take a systematic approach to the research,
and will organize and re-analyze True Parent’s words
with leadership criterions applied in existing management
studies.
The aim of understanding groups and organizations
(group/ organization dynamics) is to understand
the characters of groups and organizations. Therefore,
we will carefully read various papers related to
group/ organization and promote better understanding
of providential organizations. The aim of leadership
development is to develop the leadership of locale
leaders. Hence, we will establish a research strategy
to develop a principled leadership model. In order
to do this, we will develop a criterion to measure
the level of leadership. The aim of understanding
individual competence (individual dynamics) is to
understand the theme concerning individual competence.
We will carefully read various papers related to
individual competences and raise our ability to
look toward the development of individual competence
as public leaders |

| HISTORICAL STUDY OF PRIMARY UNIFICATION
CHURCH |
 |
Spirituality of the Unification Church has revived
within the “life of witnessing, believing, and serving
True Parents.” The criterion of spirituality presented
by the primary church was about realizing unification
among the threefold relationship of “mind and body,”
“husband and wife (human and human),” and “human
and nature” by serving God.
True Parents and senior members have lived a spiritual
life which let them overcome Satan’s persecution
and establish the ideal of God-human-love unity.
In this course, we will provide substantiation to
such sample of spiritual life based on the method
of Unification Historical Theology. |
|
 |
| UNDERSTANDING RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY |
 |
The goal of this course is to study
how we can realize the value of CIG within the Unification
Community centering on the basic theories of the
Unification Movement such as True Parent’s words,
the Divine Principle, Unification Thought etc. First,
we will define the concept of Unification Community
centering on True Parent’s words, ontologically
delineate the ideal concept, and describe the identity
of Unification Community.
Next, we will search for the concept of the ideal
world and study the ways to realize them politically,
economically, socially, culturally, and ethically.
Finally, we will look at the aspect of the Unification
Community from a historical perspective and organize
the central principle in managing the Unification
Community |
